What I don’t get: If people use more bandwidth because of this plug-in, you could also force them to upgrade to an higher price plan… in that sense this plugin could help you make money…

Thanks for sharing the fix. I had this problem, but never tried to fix it. Never thought that it was fastcgi_params that needed to be configured to accept SSL connections. Thanks for sharing the background info shamelessly that you could have avoided, if needed.
